Hi
I've owned a EPS16+ since 1992.
I've had time to experiment with it more then enough.
After years producing with it i found two major weaknesses in the sound quality.
First is that the outputs generate lots of background noise.
Second, everytime i sample kick drums there's always that low bottom roudness missing once sampled.
Now my question is, does those 2 problems occur with the ASR10.
Is the ASR10 sound quality better?
Don't get me wrong, i know the strong points of the EPS16+. The 24bit effects are amazing. For some grimmy raw lo fi snares and samples EPS16+ is perfect. The low pass filters are the best i've heard on any sampler.
Please let me know if i should get a ASR10 for better quality.
Thanks

the asr 10 has got some pretty good effects you can use when sampling and well as resampling. if you are losing the bottom on your kicks this might help with the right effect settings. i love the 10 primarily b/c you can chop a sample and spread it across the keys without using up any additional memory. hope that helps...

For this Problem i would say it could be a problem with the PSU. I recapped mine and it got rid some of the noise.

asr-10 is better
asr-10 is actually the best sampler of all time
learn how to use the filters and effects plus you can resample at lower bitrates
all that good stuff
yo suchender, how do you do the recap and why would you do it and how would you know if you need it
