Hi, the first 5 minutes its on is fine then.... it either starts making chirping sounds on its own and the lights light up on thier own without loading anythign i then turn it off and does the same thing help

hey, you might need the new OS, which are you currently running? Chicken Systems has premade OS disks, just google them

Dude -t hat sounds like a static problem.
I've done this operation twice and it makes me very nervous. You have to ensure you have no static charge in your body when handling RAM or you can really mess it up.
best way to do that is to make sure you are wearing rubber soled shoes and discharge any static in your body by touching a metal plate or something before you touch the Ram. I'd suggest doing this and then putting the old RAM back in and seeing if that foxes your problem. I don't have any advice on how to address issues with your RAM if it has been zapped!

ive tried differnt operating systems.-no ive taken out the ram and reinstalled it and still the same problem.-would i have to change teh ram? im desperate!

I guess your RAM might be fried. I can only suggest you get hold of some that definitely works, de-static yourself and install it. That way you will at least sort out if its is a RAM problem or the actual ASR.
