Ive got the drums as one instrument and once I sequenced it all, I want to solo the kick, snare, whatever, so I can record it into Pro Tools on an individual track. So, how do I mute or solo wavesamples? I cant find it anywhere in the manual. Thanks

Mate,
i think that is a function beyond the ASR capabilities. If you are planning to do this as a matter of routine, I would suggest loading up 3 or 4 different tracks on the ASR with the same instrument, and sequencing kick on track one, snare on track two etc.
If it is a one time fix, you can probably achieve it by temporarily disabling an individual wavesample by setting its pitch parameters to a different note range to where the sequence operates. Eg if the sequencer triggers the kick by sending a C1 note, snare by C2 etc, then change the pitch value of the wavesample to C0. That will effectively mute it until you change it back.

I had a tough time figuring this one out also.
Ok, so you've got your completed sequence. Showpony is right, if you want your kicks/snares/percussion/etc to track individualy into PT, they each need their own track on the ASR. Then, to record as audio into Pro Tools, hit *EDIT*, *TRACK* and scroll till you see the screen w/ P's and M's and S's.... Play, Mute, and Solo. Hit a track (1-8) and scroll up/down. This will turn off each track in real-time. Solo each, MIDI time-clock PT to the ASR (I still have yet to figure that out), and then record. Track each into PT all the way, then go back & drop tracks, ramp up/down, effect, etc. You can even make audio loops in PT, although it's difficult and fairly labor intensive. I definately don't have the process down completely, so i'm sure there's a way to do it quicker/easier... hope that helps

on a side note, check out Grooveboxmusic.com for their "hip-hop production" techniques in Pro Tools. They have a video for almost everything you need to know. Trust me, it's worth it to subscribe.
