I sample once, thats all good, and then I resample through the effects to overwrite an existing sample. Doing it this way creates a sample which has the resampled sound, but then a second later it echoes back. This only happens if Im resampling over an existing waveform. Why is that echo there? If I resample it to a new instrument, then theres no problems.
This ASR10 is gonna make it to ebay soon if it doesnt stop f**king around soon.
Thanks

Hi Jak
sounds like a strange problem I have never come across. A few possibilities are the effect setting, amp waveform settings and loop settings. Explore them - heres a few hints to get you started: 1. is the effect you are resampling though causing the echo (ie is there a delay setting there) 2. is the sound you are resampling to set to an effect with a delay? 3. is the sample set to loop forward? if you hold the key down does it echo more times? 4. Check your AMP settings, it is possible to create a repeat or echo effect there

Ive narrowed it down a bit more. I can resample as much as I want without any problem as long as I have the Envelope mode set to normal in Env/Amp. But, as soon as I set it to 'Finish', and go to resample, then I get the delayed echo effect. The strange thing is, I dont even have to resample it, as soon as I go into the VU detect mode - just before sampling, it starts then. Its something to do with the amp settings. But I cant work it out!!

One more thing, when Im sampling just the left input, this doesnt happen - just when Im sampling in stereo.

Ok, here's somthing else. When Ive got that delay tail on my sample, I go into Env 3 and turn down all the times settings down to zero except for one and which i leave at 40. And by doing this, it cuts the tail off - giving me the sample that I want. I could do this and it fixes the problem, but is this normal?

Generally it is good practice to always sample with normal envelope settings and to then play around with the settings once you have a 'clean' sample to work with. I'd suspect that you have a stereo setting in place which is only running the tailecho envelope to the right, which would explain why its not happening in the left/mono input.
