I read everywhere that cats sample their drums and then EQ them to get that gritty feel to it. I've been sampling drums for some time now and I wanna step up my game and start EQing my drums.
I have some good drums but I wanna "tweak" them and maybe have more lowend to the kick, more punch in the snare or what have you. Questions is, what's the best way to EQ your drums?
* Before i sample run them through an EQ? (Seems hard since I wanna EQ snare/kick differently) * When I run it from my ASR-10 my computer? (Seems like the right way to do it). * Inside my ASR-10? (How?)
Thanks, also, should I go with hardware or software EQ?
