Is there a better way to filter out vocals from samples? Please someone respond. Thanks.

Can't be done.
You can use eq to reduce their prominance but this will effect the rest of the sound of the sample. The idea that you can remove the vocals from a sample yet retain the orginal sound is a myth.
if you really want to have the sound of your sample without the vocal, then the only real way to do it is to manually reproduce the sound.
ie. Program the drums, bass, guitar, keyboards whatever yourself, as close as you can to the original. If you do this alongside your sample you may be surprised how well it works. if you have trouble hearing what is happening, try time stretching the sample to slow it doen, or turn the samle into a transwave so you can use the mod wheel to scroll through it sound by sound. Once you have your own re-creation of the original sample, then you can sample it from the main out. You may find that the best result comes from your tweaked original sample (with the eq muting the vocals) triggered together your version doesn't sound too far from the original. Of course if you leave out the original sample altogether, you avoid a copyright breach - well depending how much the song you sampled and your track are alike.
To hear an example of this, get a copy of Prince's 'sign of the Times' and Jesus Jones' Right here right now - demo's with a sample of prince, replaced by the band replicating it.
