ok, I've figured out the filtering/envoloping/truncating......how do I use the 7 diff't sample rates that is in the EPS(classic).....where do i find this option?

After you hit sample, and select the instrument:
Press the right arrow button and you can scroll through a number of options (which I'll add are mostly available only in the EPS):
1. SAMPLE RATE (6.25KHz to !!! 52.1KHz) 2. FILTER CUTOFF (Only in EPS can you lower the bandwidth for drums but still get the low noise of 44.1kHz sampling!) 3. PRE-TRIGGER 4. INPUT LEVEL (select Mic or Line input levels) 5. SAMPLE TIME (informative only)
The star beside certain sample rates is to indicate that the FILTER CUTOFF is "optimally" matched for this rate. I guess other rates may let in too much hi-frequency or cutoff off too much hi-frequency.
This is really one of the best features on the EPS.
