I'm glad to see a new ASR 10 Forum up. Let's get this b*tch moving...
Here's my question:
I know there's utitilities out there to get .wav files converted to ensoniq format but I can't get any of these to successfully work.
I've used Awave to convert .wav files to .efe and then in turn used EPS disk to get those on an ASR 10 formatted floppy. The issue is that when I load the converted sounds into the ASR they make the sampler freeze.
I've tried the same with Translator free from the "ChickenSys" people and it does the same.
I don't know - I'm beginning to lose faith in being able to convert .wavs to .efe/.efa and have been sampling the .wavs as a workaround.
Have any of y'all had success in converting files to the ensoniq format? If so - share a little somethin'...

You got to have the SCSI option for real. floppies are for kids!! this is my method. I convert all my drum kits to EFE. on my asr I create directories. with Translator Free i move all my kits to the proper folders on the zip disk. I have 100mb disks full of drum kits and samples. Easy B
