i cant sample wit my asr-10. I have it hooked up 1/8 into my cd player..1/4 into input. heres the problem, i press sample/source select and nothing happens. what should i do? did i miss something? ismy asr broken?

first check the audio source monitor to see if the ASR is receiving the audio. If it is it will be lit green or red if it is peaking. Once you have determined the ASR is receiving the audio, press the sample button. It will ask you to select an instrument. Press one of the sequencer track instruments below the LCD (1-8). At this point you should see a VU meter on the LCD. Set the level of the sample on the CD player then press enter. At this point the LCD should read sampling. When you want to end the sample press the no/cancel button. It will ask you to select a root key, press the key you wish the samlpe to play at its original pitch. If you wish the sample only be played on that key, set the wave parameters under the edit pitch comand. I hope this helps

no the problem is the button. When i press sample/source, nothing happens like the button is broken
