When it says: "NO WS SELECTED" it means you didnt select which WaveSample you want to edit. When you want to select which wavesample your on, press EDIT>INSTRUMENT, press EDIT until its shows on the screen the name of the instrument, the LYR# and the WS#. Go to the WS# and select which sample you wasnt selected (it will be like: 1,2,3,4,ALL, etc.). Select ALL when you want to effect all wavesamples when you edit. Or select the number you want to edit individually. So in case you didnt know, you can sample more then one sound to an instrument/track. SO the first sound you sample into instrument/track is gonna be WS1. The next time you sample, its gonna be WS2,etc.
Another feature you should learn, is Truncate Wavesample. If you dont know this already, it deletes the unused part of the wavesample you have. You know, when you sample somethin, you got that empty space before when your sample starts? After you cut that down (let me know if you know how to do that yet), You select your wavesample, and press COMMAND>INSTRUMENT>WAVE and scroll until you see TRUNCATE WAVESAMPLE. Press enter, and it deletes the space that your not using, givin you more memory.
I know alot of $hit on this thing so just let me know about any questions you got.
