i have an ensoniq eps w/ 4x memory. i am having difficulty mixing down tracks. when ever i go to edit.track mode and adjust the track mix/volume level it will hold the setting for the remainder of measures in a sequence but returns to the original setting when the sequence cycles around to its beginning. the manual i have says to simply lower/increase the level for a mix and thats it but says nothing about making it retain the new setting. as far as i know i have not done anything wrong. i have re-recorded a few tracks at an adjusted level and it has worked but i cant imagine i would have to do that with every track in every sequence through trial and error until i find a setting that is satisfactory. please let me know if i am missing something or do i need to re-record all my tracks an adjusted level until i find a setting i like. that seems absurd to me but it is the only thing i have found to work. please help...! any suggestions are appreciated

On the plus, if I want to do that, I set the record mode (on the plus: Edit - Seq/Song - 9) to ADD. Then set your track volume. Then hit record. If you have a countoff, wait until the seq. starts, then you can just stop the seq and it should have recorded your new volume level alongside whatever other MIDI data you had on there.
You can do this at any point in the seq if you want to change the volume at a different measure. Just start recording at whatever measure you want.
But make sure the record mode is ADD, otherwise you could erase some data at the beginning.
I hope it's the same on the classic.
